-
- I have downloaded and installed the MS Unimodem V upgrade for Win95. It
- lists three modems in the readme.txt that it supports "with the
- installation of the modems *.inf file.
-
- My aim is to be able to install a 28.8 voice modem that is supported by
- Unimodem V, without installing the third party software supplied by the
- modem manufacturer (with the exception of the *.inf file installed in the
- \windows\inf folder.
-
- I installed a Zoom ComStar 28.8, that is one of the modems listed as
- being supported by Unimodem V. Even after installing the *.inf file,
- Win95 would not auto-detect it.
-
- I selected the modem from the list and it installed a driver, but when I
- selected Programs\Accessories\Operator, I got an error message that "no
- phone line is available or the modem is not TAPI compliant, etc., etc."
-
- I would like to know if anyone has been successful at setting up Unimodem
- V features.
-
- Thanks for your help! Please reply to sthomson@i1.net.
